‘Work 3.0’ Investment Thesis

As an early prosumer of most collaboration products, I started working on a ‘Future of Work’ investment thesis in mid-2019. The trigger was a trip to visit my friends in the Bay Area who worked for FAAMG and enjoyed the luxury of remote work almost 40% of the time. I sensed that remote work could be a growing trend that could benefit both the employers and employees.

I developed a full fledged thesis on FoW from Jan-Mar ’20 as part of my internship at Foundation Capital. But COVID-19 accelerated a lot of the predictions in my earlier thesis and I was pushed to work and rework on…
